One of my favorite things about working with children is sharing in their joy and wonder as they learn new things! I am passionate about facilitating learning through play and exploration, and creating a classroom environment where children feel known and loved. And most importantly- I want them to know from a young age that they are loved by God and made with a purpose! I grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii and moved to Washington in 2014 to attend college. After earning my BA degree in K-8th education from Seattle Pacific University, I moved to Wenatchee. I’ve always loved working with kids and have experience in the education field working with students from preschool all the way to 8th grade. A few fun facts about me… I am soon-to-be married to my wonderful fiancé Michael, I am an identical twin, and I have a Quarter Horse named Soleil.

My passion is teaching and loving on kiddos from a young age, I knew that was my calling. I have taught in some capacity for about 20 years because I love it so much! One of my favorite things is to see children's excitement and joy as they discover the world around them. I will love and encourage them as I strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus. I am a wife to Dustin and a mom of four kids aged 25, 21, 17 & 15. Fun fact: All of our kids are adopted, and three out of four are through foster care.  I enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as traveling. I am looking forward to an amazing year!

I love working with children and participating in their growth--whether it be witnessing their faces light up as they learn something new, or the wonder displayed on their faces as they explore God's world. My heart for them is that they would know they are loved and seen by the most High King. I have lived in this area for most of my life. When I'm not in the classroom, you'll find me at my sewing machine, in the kitchen, or spending time in worship and fellowshipping with my family and friends.

Marisa Brewer

Teacher
Hi, I’m Marisa! I am a wife and the mother of two fun-loving, kind kids. We reside here in the beautiful Wenatchee Valley and have truly fallen in love with our community at Sage Hills Church. I am educated in lifespan psychology as well as child development and have worked as an educator for most of my professional career. I have a heartfelt passion for working with our youngest learners! Helping each child progress in all areas of their development is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, Jesus-centered environment.

I am so excited for this school year! This will be my first-year teaching preschool but I have had a passion for working with little kids since I was twelve. I have lived in Wenatchee for two and half years and have enjoyed getting to know this community. I previously ran an in-home daycare for about six years on the west side. I incorporated preschool activities into our day and loved watching them learn and grow. I have always loved being around kids and look forward to this new chapter in my life. I am a wife to David and a mom to four grown kids ages 33, 31, 28, and 26, and grandma to four beautiful granddaughters.

Assistant Teacher
I've lived in the Wenatchee area for about ten years. Originally I'm from Portland, Oregon, where I raised my three daughters. I've cared for children most of my life. I enjoy playing with them, helping them learn, and being a positive influence in their lives. I feel blessed to assist the Sage Hills School teachers, and I love to learn along with the children. I'm honored to be a part of bringing the good news of Jesus to the little ones.

Assistant Teacher
Ever since I was little, I have always loved taking care of children. I knew that was my calling, so I get the joy of working as a nanny and babysitter when I am not at Sage Hills School. I love to see children’s imaginations run wild as they tell stories and adventure in God’s wondrous creation. One of my favorite things is talking to little kids about God and hearing their knowledge and questions about Him. Their child-like faith is truly inspiring. I will show them the love of God, play with them, and encourage them as they encounter new learning obstacles. I grew up on a small island in Alaska and moved to Wenatchee in 2013. I am engaged and excited to be getting married to my fiancé Daniel late this summer. I enjoy spending time with my family and going off-roading in the woods with my fiancé.

Lindsey Haney

Assistant Teacher
Hi! My name is Lindsey. I love to serve my God, and I also love to serve His children. Working with children is my passion, and I’m so grateful I get to work with them! Children enrich my life, and I fully believe God gave me His heart for them!

I believe that children learn best in a fun and enriching environment. I am a wife and mother of two wonderful children. The Wenatchee Valley has been my home for most of my life. One of my passions is teaching. I love to see children grow from just learning the alphabet to being able to read and write. Most importantly, I love being able to teach children that "love of learning" attitude that will carry with them beyond their school days. My love for teaching and helping children grow in Christ goes beyond the classroom, and when I am not in the classroom, you can find me involved in Sage Hills Kids.
