Meet the team

Marie Carlson

School Director
I am so excited to join the Preschool at the Director this year! I taught and ran my own preschool years ago. When my role expanded here at Sage Hills Church I decided to bring the school supplies in my basement here to start Sage Hills School. We started the preschool 10 years ago with one class and it has been a joy to watch it grow. I love the preschool years and I love the team of teachers God has brought to Sage Hills School so I am delighted to be a bit closer to the action with Sage Hills School.  See you in the halls!

Kristina Uphoff

Assistant Director
One of my favorite things about working with children is sharing in their joy and wonder as they learn new things! I am passionate about facilitating learning through play and exploration, and creating a classroom environment where children feel known and loved. And most importantly- I want them to know from a young age that they are loved by God and made with a purpose! I grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii and moved to Washington in 2014 to attend college. After earning my BA degree in K-8th education from Seattle Pacific University, I moved to Wenatchee. I’ve always loved working with kids and have experience in the education field working with students from preschool all the way to 8th grade.

Julee Christensen

My passion is teaching and loving on kiddos from a young age, I knew that was my calling. I have taught in some capacity for about 20 years because I love it so much! One of my favorite things is to see children's excitement and joy as they discover the world around them. I will love and encourage them as I strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus. I am a wife to Dustin and a mom of four kids aged 25, 21, 17 & 15. Fun fact: All of our kids are adopted, and three out of four are through foster care.  I enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as traveling. I am looking forward to an amazing year!

Patti Zahnow

I am so excited for this school year! This will be my first-year teaching preschool but I have had a passion for working with little kids since I was twelve. I have lived in Wenatchee for two and half years and have enjoyed getting to know this community. I previously ran an in-home daycare for about six years on the west side. I incorporated preschool activities into our day and loved watching them learn and grow. I have always loved being around kids and look forward to this new chapter in my life. I am a wife to David and a mom to four grown kids ages 33, 31, 28, and 26, and grandma to four beautiful granddaughters.

Jasmine Marion

Ever since I was little, I have always loved taking care of children. I knew that was my calling, so I get the joy of working as a nanny and babysitter when I am not at Sage Hills School. I love to see children’s imaginations run wild as they tell stories and adventure in God’s wondrous creation. One of my favorite things is talking to little kids about God and hearing their knowledge and questions about Him. Their child-like faith is truly inspiring. I will show them the love of God, play with them, and encourage them as they encounter new learning obstacles. I grew up on a small island in Alaska and moved to Wenatchee in 2013. I am engaged and excited to be getting married to my fiancé Daniel late this summer. I enjoy spending time with my family and going off-roading in the woods with my fiancé.

Lindsey Haney

Hi! My name is Lindsey. I love to serve my God, and I also love to serve His children. Working with children is my passion, and I’m so grateful I get to work with them! Children enrich my life, and I fully believe God gave me His heart for them!

Cambree Archer

I believe that children learn best in a fun and enriching environment. I am a wife and mother of two wonderful children. The Wenatchee Valley has been my home for most of my life. One of my passions is teaching. I love to see children grow from just learning the alphabet to being able to read and write. Most importantly, I love being able to teach children that "love of learning" attitude that will carry with them beyond their school days. My love for teaching and helping children grow in Christ goes beyond the classroom, and when I am not in the classroom, you can find me involved in Sage Hills Kids.

Carrie McFann

I’ve always known since a very young age that I was meant to work with children.  To be a vessel for God to help children understand they are important and loved.  I am born and raised in the Wenatchee Valley. I have spent a majority of the last 14 years running an in-home daycare and homeschooling my children.  I am a wife to Josh and a mother to 3 wonderful daughters. You can always find me outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking or just spending time with all my animals.
